NCAA D2 Women’s Tournament Preview

Breadcrumb Navigation

What can you say about the Ashland Eagles, dominate last year and very dominate again this year.  Because of the reseeding process, we can’t predict a champion right now but we can predict who’s going to the Elite Eight.

Of the eight regions, we have top seeds advancing in five of the eight (Ashland, Augustana, Carson Newman, Azusa Pacific and Lubbock Christian).  In the the Atlantic region, we’ve got a great upset chance in the second round with Edinboro over Virginia Union opening a path for Glenville State to advance to Sioux Falls.  In the the East, the Index just favors Bentley over Stonehill which stands to reason since Bentley took two out of three from them this season.  Finally, in the South region, we have North Alabama knocking off Florida Southern and top seed Union.

From there, the Index right now is heavily slanted towards Ashland but depending on the match-ups in the Elite Eight that could change next week so be sure to check back in and for all the stats on all of these teams, check out StatGeekAnalytics.com.

Elite Eight: Ashland, Augustana, Carson Newman, Azusa Pacific, Lubbock Christian, Glenville St., Bentley, North Alabama
